So, to get to current news - here is what is going on this week:
John Stassen, a central songwriter in the South Hill Project, has released three hi-res MP3s from his new solo album to the BardoMusic.com website - Cry Of The Masses, Accept It, and Revolution. The MP3s will be posted at BardoMusic.com this week on the main page, and will be freely downloadable by SHP fans. (BTW, the Bardo Music site crossed over 6.5 million hits in December of 2009.) John's complete solo album is now also available at Amazon.com.
Last week I added two songs, two videos, and a bunch of pictures to Amazon.com for streaming in the Geoffrey Raines store. I think you can listen to them, but I have not figured out how you download them. The streaming songs are Here I Am, and Rollercoaster from the year 2000 'Current' release. Also, working on a six song EP with Amazon which could appear any day. These will be the first songs from the solo album I hope to finish in 2010.
John and I will be going into the Cue Recording studio soon to work on a new recording with a new drummer. The key to getting this song right will be sitting face-to-face with a good drummer and working through the details. We have worked with a bunch of great folks in LA recently, but there will be too many changes in this next tune to work remotely. Be looking for a new tune in a few weeks!
